If you need to re-install the drivers after Ekahau Pro installation, you can do that by selecting the Install USB Wi-Fi Adapter Driver from the program folder in the Start menu. This might take up to several minutes for the first time, but please wait patiently for installation process to finish. Windows will usually prompt a pop-up message about drivers being installed when this happens. The Wi-Fi adapter driver will be updated automatically during the installation.Įxternal Wi-Fi adapter (such as NIC-300) initializes the Ekahau Pro drivers when it's first time connected to the computer. The external Wi-Fi adapter driver needs to be updated in order to collect signal measurements. Lastly, if need be, you can also manually trigger the search for new firmware update by clicking on the Ekahau Sidekick battery indicator and selecting "Check for update". DO NOT disconnect Ekahau Sidekick from the computer before ESS notifies that the installation is successfully completed. New firmware is automatically installed onto the Ekahau Sidekick. The firmware update window offers information about the latest update Internet connection is required for this for this update process. New firmware updates are automatically detected and offered when the Ekahau Pro is open and Sidekick is connected to it.
